Hi friends and family, I’m about to undergo a surgery I’ve been looking forward to for some time. As gender-affirming care is being threatened across the country, I feel very privileged to be able to make the choice for myself right now to have top surgery. I’ve never been under the knife, and I have little experience with being in this type of physical recovery. As much as I hate to ask for help, I know I’ll need it for weeks to come after.
