Story
Please consider helping Heather, Mark and Mason as they embark on this journey with oropharyngeal head and neck cancer, that metastasized to her lymph node. Her next diagnostic surgical procedure is January 22, and will follow up with a treatment plan which will include radiation and possibly chemo and more surgery. Although the doctors feel this is curable, it will be a long road, as the radiation will cause 2 and 3rd degree burns down her throat, and months of recovery. There still a lot of unknowns yet to be determined The goal of this page is to support her family with food to take the cooking burden off of Mark while he continues to work, support Heather and Mason. Help Heather with rides when needed and also to help provide other items they may need during this difficult season they are in right now. It you would like to assist, take a look at the wish list or sign up to bring a meal etc. We have had a few people ask about Venmo, so we set one up. VENMO @Mark-Lapham-7 Thank you.
Special Notes
Dietary needs: low sodium, healthy type foods, lots of veggies. We tend to stay away from a lot of processed foods, but the boys like pizza, tacos, spaghetti, chicken nuggets fries and such. If you are bringing something, please text Heather and approximate ETA. She may be too exhausted to come to the door or asleep, but she can respond and let you know if you should come in or leave it at the door. She may or may not be up for visitors depending on the day and the hour. If you have a cold we ask that you do not enter the home as it’s crucial for her to remain as healthy as possible during treatment and her immune system will be compromised during this time. Depending on what the doctors say, we may request everyone wear a mask in her presence for her safety. More details to follow as more is learned
