Abby was diagnosed with hemifacial spasms in late 2020, a neuromuscular disease that has progressively worsened over the past four years. After attempting to treat with medications and injections for th past years, she was able to retain a referral to University of Iowa Hospital this fall to meet with a neurosurgeon and determine if she would be a candidate for surgery. Abby will be undergoing microvascular decompression (MVD) surgery at UIHC on Nov. 8th. The Garners are asking for assistance with dinner meals during the week after surgery.
