Story
This page is made by my friend Maggie who has set up meal plans for every other day while I am recovering from brain surgery. I have what is called a chiari malformation, which is essentially the bottom part of my brain (cerebellum/cerebellar tonsils) are pushing out of my skull and impacting my spinal cord causing a lot of damage and motor function issues. Two weeks ago I had invasive brain surgery to cauterize this part of my brain- where they found and removed a neuroma on my c1, as well as had to untangle my pica artery from around my spinal cord and cerebellar tonsil. It left permanent damage to my spinal cord. Going forward a week later I started losing mass amounts of cerebral spinal fluid (which is what your brain floats in and travels up and down your spinal cord). Because of this, I have to have another surgery to repair the leak. I’m not sure how long this will push my recovery out- but I’m not even allowed to lift a gallon of milk for 8 weeks, much less make a meal for my family. This would be so incredibly helpful to my husband, Ryan and myself. We have three kiddos that love just about everything.. we don’t necessarily have food restrictions but we do try to sway away from artificial dyes. This is such a sweet little thing and we are so honored to have the help we have been receiving. Thank you to everyone who can share. ❤️
