The family is requesting we keep this link and all other information OFF social media platforms ** On November 8th, Enzo was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML). Enzo has had an incredible attitude and has been very brave as he dove into this battle that no one saw coming. It is estimated that they will be in the hospital for the next 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on how treatment progresses. Matt and Johanna have been very grateful for everyone reaching out to extend their love and support. At this time, they are focusing all their attention on Enzo's treatment and are not able to respond to everyone's texts, phone calls or emails, although it means the world to them. Currently, Enzo is in a fragile state. For safety reasons Enzo and the family are not receiving any visitors at the hospital. Please do not go to the hospital. If people want to send care packages, they can be sent to their home address. The immediate family has traveled from near and far to lend support in all ways possible and have been able to bring care packages and supplies to Matt, Johanna and Enzo daily. How can friends and family help? Matt and Johanna are currently living out of the hospital with Enzo while family is at their home taking care of Alexi and Stormy. By purchasing gift cards that can support them with food and necessities, it will help alleviate some of the logistical and financial burden. Many of you may have questions about further financial support with medical bills. At this time, we want to focus on the short term needs. We will be working on a platform to provide additional, necessary support as more information is shared. When the time is right for them, they will also be able to read and respond to your messages and comments. Your support allows Matt and Johanna to focus their energy on Enzo and the battle ahead. Enzo receives blood and platelet transfusions on a regular basis. The hospital and family have also suggested donating blood and platelets as a way of support. In addition, bone marrow testing for a match can also be done. This involves swabbing the inside of your cheek with a cotton swab to obtain a tissue sample.
