Story

This week, our community lost Katie Murphy Schupak. Katie was an extraordinarily kind, caring, and thoughtful person. She made everyone she met feel valued and supported, whether as a teacher, Girl Scout leader, or a friend. Her sudden loss has come as a huge shock to her family. Katie was an incredible mother to Isabella and they shared a deeply close bond. Katie's husband, Shragi, is a full time EMT for the FDNY and a dedicated local fire department volunteer. Going forward her family will need our help and support. Please help us support them during this very difficult time. Any contributions are appreciated. Thank you. Special Notes

Katie's parents will be staying this week to help transition Isabella back to some level of normal. She will be returning to school and her activities, if you're able to help with dinner for a night for all four of them this week, we can update you as it gets closer as to meal preferences.

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Katie was such a kind woman. This is such a shock. I’d love to help prepare a meal. Will there be funeral services or a memorial in her honor?

Megan Paniccia Hi Lauren, There will be services in a few weeks for Katie in Massachussets and then a celebration of life sometime over the summer for her here.
