Story
On January 23rd, Angie learned the devastating news that she has a 10x8 mass on her ovary with an ovarian cancer diagnosis. She decided to seek treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ and is scheduled for surgery on February 5th. The surgery will start as a laparscopy. If the doctor thinks he can remove everything, he will open her abdomen with a full incision. Or he may need to stop at the laparscopy, and Angie will need 3 rounds of chemo prior to the big surgery. She will have a long road to recovery. They are sad, angry, overwhelmed and afraid. They are not up for talking right now but would appreciate your prayers. Lots of prayers please! This happened while they were at their home in Florida. They decided to go back North for treatments. Unfortunately, their home in Ocean City is under construction. Since they thought they would be in Florida for 4 months, they have their contractor working on their house. Therefore, they couldn't return to Ocean City and are temporarily housed at my Mom's home in Delanco, NJ (which is closer to Cooper). My Mom is here with me in Florida. Once we get past this week with the surgery and know more, we can then make a more definitive plan for her treatment and care. They will need your continued love and support. If anyone wishes to help with meals, that would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure she'll eventually be up to visitors and talking on the phone. I'll be sure to update her progress on this page as it becomes available. Thank you all for your love and prayers!!
