Story
Hey y'all, thanks for checking out the Moore family care page! After years of managing increasingly difficult symptoms, tests revealed a large areas of abnormal tissue that will require the removal of Emily's ascending colon. Surgery is scheduled for March 12th. While Emily and her family are hopeful and preparing for a swift and thorough recovery, they wont have a diagnosis and further treatment plan until the pathology report post procedure.(Anyone who's had a health scare will tell you that the waiting game is particularly difficult, especially while trying to rest and recover from major surgery.) The plan is for Emily will be out of work for 8 weeks following surgery. As an ICU nurse and hard working mama, Emily is definitely more comfortable taking care of others than being the patient herself! Nate (Emily's husband) and Kelly (Emily's mom) will be taking care of Emily and their amazing kiddos Sydney and Asher while mom rests, recovers, and awaits any further treatment. Let's make things a little easier for this beautiful family during a challenging time. Whether you're here to send a gift card, contribute to childcare, or just share well wishes the Moore's and everyone who loves them are deeply grateful for your support. Thank you so much for your love, care, and prayers. Health, happiness, and blessings to you and yours.
Special Notes
While homecooked meals are incredible, we know many of you are out of town so a "Care card" (linked below) is the best way to "send a meal" their way! The family can easily turn your generous gift into a Wegmans run, or food delivery. If you are looking to support childcare, first of all, Thank You! It truly takes a village. The Moores have a great sitter they can count on if Nate or Kelly need additional support. It will also be great to get the kids out for fun and distracting activities while mom rests. To contribute toward kid support, please follow the Venmo link posted. Again, THANK YOU!!! Finally, there's an Amazon link below if you'd just like to send the family support to choose a little something to brighten their day (books, cozy socks, games for kids, that sort of thing.)
