Story
Let me begin by introducing myself. I am the proud aunt of an amazing 5-year-old boy named Kellan. Kellan is a Minecraft & dino-loving boy who is getting ready to graduate from TK. He is a super cool and loving dude who adores his little sister, Emmy, and baby brother, Huddy. He loves blue popsicles and pizza. He rides his Opa’s fast bike and plays on his swing set. He has dance parties in the living room. He is obsessed with Sonic the hedgehog, but most importantly, he is an innocent child who wholeheartedly loves his family.
On May 17, 2023, Kellan was diagnosed with leukemia, specifically Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL). MPAL is rare, representing just 2-3% of all acute leukemia cases.
I am starting this page with the hopes of easing the financial burden on his parents, Mercedes and Jason. Over the next several months, Kellan will require countless medical appointments with specialists and overnight hospital stays. My brother and sister-in-law will not be able to work, as they will support and care for their baby boy while he fights for his life against cancer.
Kellan is your child and mine. For that reason, I humbly ask that you open your hearts and donate what you can to Kellan’s medical expenses. No amount is too small. I also ask that you share this link with your family and friends and urge them to read Kellan’s story and donate. I pray that no parent must endure the pain that my family is going through since learning Kellan’s diagnosis.
On behalf of Kellan, Emery, Hudson, Mercedes, and Jason, I thank you for reading Kellan’s story and contributing to the astronomical medical expenses incurred to save his life.
Thank you,
Kellan’s Auntie Natalie
