Darby Morlan has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer.The mass has grown 2.7 cm in 3 weeks. At this point in time surgery is not an option because the mass is attached to the blood vessels and the lump nodes. He is getting a port put in ASAP so he can start Chemo. He will do Chemo here in North Platte but will go to Omaha for other appointments. At his 8 week check up they will run all the scans and blood work again in hopes that the cancer has not spread and the mass is shrinking. If the mass shrinkes enough surgery is back on the table. At this moment doctors are giving him 2 years. We are not giving up though we are going to fight this with everything we got! He is a Father to 4 wonderful children(and a father figure to other bonus kids also), Husband, and a friend to many. Many ppl know he is a truck driver and due to the pain he is no longer able to work. Due to the cost of health insurance he does not have health insurance. We will be traveling to Omaha for doctor appointments but will be doing Chemo treatments here in North Platte. The Buffet foundation and NE medical center is helping with Motel rooms.
