Story
This past spring, Joe was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure. He has been undergoing treatment since then for a number of serious conditions secondary to the failure such as cardiac QT prolongation, bleeding disorders, esophageal varices, hepatic encephalopathy, and collapsed lungs. On good days he can get around a bit if he takes it easy. On bad days he is fatigued, confused, and dizzy. He has been receiving around-the-clock care from his mom, dad, and partner. As Joe is working to receive a liver transplant any support you could provide would provide to ease up some of the weight for Joe and his family would be much appreciated. Thanks for considering!
Special Notes
Joe and his family love all cuisines, however he is on a strict 2,100mg sodium-limited diet. Ingredients high in sodium (e.g., bacon, canned vegetables) need to be avoided as well as any additional salt not naturally found in the ingredients. If, when spending time with Joe if you notice any confusion (he can’t always tell) or dizziness, please be sure to tell one of his family members.
