Story
We are thrilled to introduce the new addition to our family, baby Emmett! We welcomed our precious Emmett on November 14 at 3:02 am. Baby Emmett decided to join us 5 weeks early and had to spend a couple of days in the NICU. Katie and baby Emmett are doing very well as we get settled in at home. We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and support from our community of friends and family during this monumental transition. Katie and I can feel the love, and know that you are here to support us as we navigate this new exciting and rewarding adventure. As you can imagine, this exciting transition to parenthood can be challenging and tiring during the first months (maybe forever?!) at home as we adapt to our precious baby’s schedule and needs. Our beloved Emmett was initially expected in mid-December. Emmett obviously wanted to enjoy his first Christmas season to the fullest! To say our frozen meal supply is lacking would be an understatement. We weren’t expecting baby Emmett so soon (if this isn’t an example of the unexpected experiences of parenthood, I’m not sure what is!). If you are able, we will gladly accept your love in the form of food! We’ve set up a calendar with daily availability to allow flexibility for anyone who wants to contribute. We are only requesting dinner meals at this time. Ideas for dinner include main dishes, sides, salads, etc. Casseroles are welcome, and we can freeze portions of larger meals and casseroles to save for later. Frozen meals are also welcome, should you prefer this method. If you bring meals in dishes or tupperware, please let us know if you'd like them returned. We can figure out logistics if the time comes. Single-use containers are ok. We are also happy to accept gift cards to restaurants or grocery stores. We’ve listed some below. Just a heads up, this host website charges a small fee for gift card transactions, which is why I’ve included my Venmo information if you prefer to avoid silly fees. My Venmo is Noah-Wahl-2 -Dangs -Pastini -Pho Viet -Chi -Dump City Dumplings -Pacific pizza and brew -Deschutes brewery -Kefi Fresh -Baldy's -Bangers and Brews -Spork -Yoli -Jackson’s corner -El Sancho -Valentines deli -Wild rose
Special Notes
Katie and I would like to avoid spicy and fried food at the moment. Please avoid dishes that include mushrooms, olives, pickles, or mustard. We do NOT have any food allergies. Meat, Dairy, and gluten are all welcome in our home. FOR DELIVERY AND DROP-OFF: Our address is 19443 W. Campbell Rd. Bend, OR, 97702. We will have two coolers outside, one for hot food and one for cold food. The coolers will be on the front porch of the main house. We do not live in the main house, so please do not knock on the main door or disturb Pat. Please call or text us to determine if we are accepting visitors. This will change on a day-to-day basis. If we do not respond to your message, we are likely resting and do not want visitors at that time. We will be limiting visitors, and requesting that those who visit take precautions to keep our baby healthy (hand wash and mask will be necessary). We appreciate your understanding.
