I have had chronic pain for long time and have spent the last 5 years trying to get a diagnosis to figure out what's happening in my body. I've been through so many doctors, medications and treatments. Related or not is unknown, but on September 5, 2021 I woke up with excruciating R leg pain, unlike anything I've ever experienced! After many more appointments and 3 different radiology images, we discovered that I had a labral tear in my right hip cartilage with extra bony growth on my femoral head that resulted in a femoroacetabular impingement. I already was in PT, I got a steroid injection and ultimately decided the best course to real recovery was to have it surgically repairs. Today, December 20, I had an arthroscopic labral hip repair and femoral resurfacing. It went well, but I'm partial-weight bearing for 2-3 weeks with a hip brace and crutches. I'm not allowed to drive and I have to start PT tomorrow. I have all the equipment I need and Aaron took the last 2 weeks of the year off to help but who helps the helper? :) It's a lot to look after all 4 of us, get the holiday prep finished AND get our AirB&B ready before the new year.
