The Ogletree Family

Boulder Creek, CA

Story

Tammy has some big surgeries this year and next. Her first surgery is in a few weeks on April 1st, to repair a severely torn rotator cuff and bicep. Then later in the summer, she will have to have low back surgery. A knee replacement is also being planned for as soon as next year. This is a lot for anyone, even for those who have a spouse to help. But Tammy is a single parent and will need outside help both financially and personally to make it through this healing journey she so desperately needs. While medical insurance will cover some of the expenses related to her recovery, there will be other additional insurance copay costs that are not covered as well as care for her son, dog, and herself. Having to take time off from teaching Pilates with each surgery and recovery time will be a huge financial challenge as Tammy has no family she can fall back on. Tammy is a highly devoted single mom to her son Maxx. She has put her health on the back burner for years now as she has been prioritizing her son who has been healing from emotional trauma. She has been an integral part of the San Lorenzo Valley community for almost eight years. She has healed and strengthened hundreds of people here through her Pilates teaching and wisdom. She is also involved with the local business community, events, theatre, and is an adult leader with our local Boy Scouts troop. Now she needs our community to come together to help her heal. Tammy has set up a meal train through this platform as well as a sign up calendar for a weekly Costco run. She will also need help with transportation for her son to his activities as well as care for her dog. She thanks her friends and community from the bottom of her heart for coming together for her family during this very challenging time!

Special Notes

We are gluten-free and try to avoid soy and a lot of grains. We love Mexican food, Italian, Indian, American and Asian as well. We really aren't picky but we do eat a high protein diet and try to stick with organic proteins, conventional chicken is ok.
