Jen a mother of two daughters (Ava 15yr & Daniella 13yr). Her family has been through their fair share of challenges throughout the past 10 years (including the sudden loss of her father & having to start from scratch), but this one will be her hardest fight yet. She was diagnosed on April 4th with cancer after incidentally finding a mass while in an unrelated procedure. She put myself through Gwynedd Mercy University in her mid-30’s to obtain her BSN and become a nurse: something that she had always been passionate about. She has been working FT as an ICU RN at Grand View Hospital (and 4yr as a Telemetry RN). She loves being able to help and care for others; unfortunately, she now finds herself on the other side-as the patient. She is expecting a long road ahead filled with tests, surgeries, chemo, and radiation. Most of these costs will not be covered under her health insurance plan so her brother started a go fund me to help with medical expenses . We (Ashley and I) our asking for gift cards to go toward food and gas (she will be going back and fourth to Penn.) Jen is on a very restrictive diet so most of her foods have to be organic. we are asking for gift cards to grocery stores or Instacart. any help you can give is very much appreciate it. As we are hoping this will relieve some of the stress so Jen and her family can focus on fighting this. ❤️
