Story
In times of deep grief, the body of Christ comes together — not just in prayer, but in action. When we heard about the heartbreaking loss Kim and Jesse Huggins faced, losing both of their beloved parents, our hearts ached for them. Kim and Jesse have always been faithful, loving friends and servants in our church family, pouring out kindness and encouragement to others. Now, it’s our turn to carry them through this season of sorrow. I started this meal train because, in the midst of grief, the last thing they should have to worry about is cooking meals or running errands. They need space to mourn, to rest, and to lean on the Lord for strength — and having meals provided gives them one less burden to carry. This is more than just food. It’s a reminder that they are not alone. Every meal represents a prayer, a hug, and a piece of our love, showing them that their brothers and sisters in Christ are walking beside them. We may not be able to take away the pain, but we can reflect Jesus’ love in the practical ways that matter — one meal, one gesture of kindness at a time.
