As most or some of you may know, our Mom, Kim, has been battling cancer for about three years. This year has been especially tough for her and our family, after the passing of our Dad, Jeff, earlier this year. This left her caring not only for herself alone, but also our younger brother. Some days are better than others, and some days are tough given her stage and treatment. At this point in Mom's battle, she will have to have a two week radiation treatment to help fight off her disease. She will have to travel five days a week for each treatment and it could leave her with some side effects. Of them, fatigue may be the worst. I was hoping that by putting this together, we could find some friends and family that would be willing to help support her by providing pre-made meals to heat up during her treatment and maybe after, so she has one less thing to worry about during this time. Any other ways to offer support such as grocery pick up/drop off, maybe driving to and from her treatments in Champaign (if needed), or sitting and visiting would be so helpful too if she's up for it.
