On April 8, 2025 my mom, Joanna, suffered a hemorrhagic stroke resulting in a "massive" brain bleed on the left side of her brain. She was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she is currently in the Neuro ICU. We have been told by the doctors that this is a fragile and complicated situation and that there will be a long road of recovery ahead. In their words, "this is a weeks to months thing, not a days to weeks thing." We are praying for a miracle and have created this GoFundMe to assist with the many expenses that we are facing and will continue to incur. My mom, Joanna, is an incredible woman. She has a heart of gold, and wears it on her sleeve. In her home, everyone is fed a home-cooked meal, is laughing, and spending quality time together. Her love impacts everyone. Mom's creativity shines through her cookies, handmade cards, meals, garden, and so much more. She is courageous and bold in her faith and strives to pass God's love onto others. She takes care of everyone around her and ensures that they know they are loved, including caring for my dad for 15 years after an accident that caused him to become a quadriplegic. She never wavered in her dedication to keeping and holding our family together, and now, neither will we. We lost our dad less than a year ago, and as one may imagine, we are devastated by what we are now experiencing. Our family is shocked and struggling through this time, but we are not giving up and we know that mom won't either. She is a fighter. She's feisty and strong willed, and we will continue to honor that throughout this process.
