Story

Jo Ann Wallace was a shining star in so many lives. Her love for others was evident as she took in anything or anyone that needed a home. Two-legged, four-legged, even feathered. They came from school, church, Girls Scouts, and parts unknown. . She blamed the animals on Lari Jo, and later Taylor, Samantha , and Ashley. Girl Scouts was central to her life story. Spending summers at Camp Greenhill as a scout, becoming a leader to many troops, and eventually working for Paisano Girl Scout Council as “The Cookie Lady.” When her children were growing up, she was always present as a troop leader, a booster mom, PTA. mom, or a coach. Jo Ann has struggled with dementia for several years. She experienced significant decline in the last year. She was placed in hospice care in early February. And this week has begun her transition Home. We welcome all prayers during this time.
