Unfortunately, our beloved and loyal deaf friend, Dori, was injured at work last February and has had surgery on her hand three times since May. She has tried to save her two fingers and will have another surgery again on February 4th to try to save her fingers so she can sign language to communicate. Her worker's comp denied her for no reason, so she transferred to short-term disability since August and will soon be going on long-term disability. During this time, she hasn't been able to work since August. She's been struggling with her living expenses because her disability income is down to 60%, and she's been struggling to keep up with her bills, with some falling behind. Her lovely boyfriend works a lot to keep up with the bills and has been by her side. She's been working hard to keep her boyfriend and son living under a roof, to pay rent, and to try to get help for food, living expenses, and bills for her and her family until she can go back to work again. I'm here to help share the donate to help her and her family and her expenses and going to have another surgery to save her fingers. She doing ok. Just had surgery 3 days ago. And they cut my tendon and repair in my 4th and 5th fingers and put metal pin in my 4th finger to hold it. I can't move it few days and have go back to doctor on 24th and see what going next.
