Story
Early December we received a phone call that has forever altered our lives. Her biopsy results came back from her surgery. It was cancer. A complete shock to everyone, especially the surgeon and doctors she had been seeing for months regarding this issue. Stage 3 Malignant Melanoma is the diagnosis she received after seeing her oncologist the first time. We strongly believe in the power of support and how this isn’t something we can do alone. We are so grateful for all the support from friends and family the past couple months and often we are told “we are here if you need anything”. Asking for help isn’t easy and with encouragement from Lauren’s counselor at her oncologist office she recommend we come up with a list of things that would be helpful during this time and the ones we love can extend offers based on their availability and various needs they feel they can assist with. Nothing is expected, we are grateful for anything- even if it just means an occasional text saying you’re thinking of us! We are trying this system out in hopes to organize ourselves a little better, keep loved ones informed and involved (as much or little as they’d like!) during this difficult time. Thank you for joining ❤️
Special Notes
Lauren is allergic to Gluten/wheat and is following a gluten free diet. We tend to have dinners naturally gluten free with some occasional non gf sides for ryyan and the kids. But meals that are not gluten free are also welcome for ryyan and the kids to enjoy.
