Story
Hi everyone and thank you for visiting my recovery page. On 10/28 I was admitted to the ER for extreme blood loss, I ended up needing 2 blood transfusions and was told I have a large fibroid, my doctor said it is literally the size of 2 grapefruits or a child’s soccer ball . I also recently discovered that I have endometriosis. Since then I have been in and out of the emergency room, due to my constant bleeding I have been anemic and have needed multiple blood transfusions. My only option to completely resolve this is a full hysterectomy (yes I am keeping my ovaries). I have been in constant pain for a long time, so I am grateful to have an option to resolve this. My surgery will take place January 6th 2025 and I will need about 8 weeks to recover. During this time I will not be able to work. The road to healing will require a mix of rest, care, and support from those around me. I’ve outlined a few areas where I’ll need help during my recovery: Meals – Since I won’t be able to cook right away, I’ll need some help with meal prep and delivery throughout the day. A warm meal or snack will make a huge difference in my recovery process. If you're able to assist in any of these areas, please reach out and let me know. Your support, whether it's walking the dogs, bringing over a meal, or simply keeping me company, will make my recovery much easier and more positive. I appreciate everyones kindness, understanding, and willingness to be part of this journey with me. Thank you for being here as I heal and take this important step towards feeling better! - Abigaile
