Story
Margaret and Nick’s baby is arriving today (Monday Feb 3) and the plan is to come home from HUP on Thursday Feb 6. In this initial month or two they could use some help keeping up with all the things as they focus on loving and caring for this shiny new human being. Margaret and Nick have truly such an amazing network of friends and family and I just thought I would put this together so we can coordinate our efforts. Given the many talents of their friends we know the meal train aspect is going to be impressive, but for those of us that can’t support in that way, there are other options like volunteering for a grocery shopping trip, or doing an errand, or giving a gift card. There are so many options to help in whatever way is within your capacity!
Special Notes
Nick is a vegetarian and very game for all creations of the non-meat variety. Margaret is generally up for all things meat and veggie alike. Visits: we all know babies are exhausting but particularly because their initial needs are unpredictable. They generally need to eat every 40mins (if not more frequently) and so longer visits are really hard to manage—just remember to plan on short visits initially and check in beforehand, because you what was fine yesterday might not work tomorrow. And when dropping off food or groceries it is likely more often than not that visiting might not be possible, so just remember that ahead of time. For groceries, they are very stocked up on frozen items for now but fresh fruit and veg could be a real treat!
