Whew! This is a hard one to type but here I go. It is with a heavy heart that I come to you all with this news-Our beautiful, kind, generous, intelligent, loving, full of life, friend; Lori Marray will be undergoing radiation starting January 8th. As many of you know, February of 2021 Lori was diagnosed with s4 breast cancer and has been in treatment since. Unfortunately, since then, she has developed brain metastasis’ that are being stubborn and the meds she is on are not fully controlling their growth-mainly because she cannot take enough dosage without causing permanent liver damage. So, her doctors have recommended radiation and Lori has agreed to undergo. In true Lori fashion, she’s also moved her elderly parents from their home to hers to care for them-her daddy has dementia and diabetes, and it’s become too hard to care for them being 80 miles away. So, she did what any good daughter would do, and now they live with her. (That’s our friend yall!🥰) If you’re reading this and you don’t know Lori, I wish you did. To know Lori is to love her! She’s the epitome of a true friend. She will give you the shirt off her back. And if you ask for something, she probably has it to give! 😉 ((if you’re in our giving community you get that)) She’s got two beautiful adopted children who are the absolute sweetest children, her husband John who’s equally as amazing too. Oh-about John-he’s the most loving and supportive partner and Lori’s soulmate. Unfortunately John is also starting a new job this month that will have him gone all week and only home on the weekends. Still, we’re praising God that he will be home for those few days, Lori and the kids will surely miss him and appreciate that time back. ❤️ So you may be wondering, how can we help!? Well, a few ways but mainly with meals. With Lori undergoing radiation and caring for her parents, she won’t have much time for anything else. I’ve offered to make her a MealTrain to help ease this burden and she happily accepted! ((Thank you Lori, I know how fiercely independent you are!)) If you think you can sign up for a meal, that would be greatly appreciated. If you’re unable to do so, that’s ok!! I am also setting up a way to donate towards DoorDash, cashapp, etc. But even sharing this post would be a huge help!! Above all else, let’s lift our beautiful friend in prayer!! Dear lord, please lay your healing hands on Lori, let your abundant love surround her and bring her peace through this difficult time. Send your angels to hug her through these treatments. Guide the hearts and minds of every doctor, nurse and medical care staff she comes in contact with. And most of all..let her be healed lord. In your Devine name we pray-amen!!
