Summer has been in the hospital for a week undergoing treatment for RSV. During that time there were some other tests run that indicated there were further issues with her leg and foot that she had previously had surgery on. The Doctors have determined that there will be some additional surgeries needed. At this time there is no definite return to home date or what her returning home will entail. The children and John are doing fine and are pulling together as best they can, as this was an unexpected hospitalization. John and the older children are attempting to take care of everything in Summer's absence at home. A simple meal, or something that you could drop off, to help them with one less thing in the Evenings would be a wonderful gesture. If you would like to be included in a meal train for John and the children that would be greatly appreciated. Summer is the type of person that would literally give the shirt off of her back to help someone in need without batting an eye. When she loves, she loves big and is a true Angel on Earth. If you feel led to help in her time of need, please do so. John is holding down “home” in her absence, while still maintaining his full time job. He will be handling the daily tasks of a Family of 9 (including himself) until Summer returns home. Once Summer returns, he will also be her caretaker and making sure she is resting and healing. Even if you can’t help with the Meal Train, please pray. There’s a lot of “unknowns” at this time and they could use all the love and support they so freely give to others. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand".
