Warming Shelter Dinners

Silverton, OR

Story

Thank you for your support of our nightly shelter! On a typical night, we host up to 10 guests in Silverton's historic Community Center building. We focus on safety and relationship; part of that is gathering around the table for a warm meal! We also provide baked goods and other nutritious, foods for breakfast as guests get ready for their days. We appreciate the community's response in helping with home-cooked or donated meals for our unhoused neighbors.

Special Notes

Things to keep in mind: We usually plan on feeding about 10 adults each night. We do not have a kitchen or even a sink in our space, so all food preparation must be done offsite. We regularly have serving utensils, plates and bowls. Many of our guests have dental challenges, so please keep ease of chewing in mind when planning the meal! Meals are delivered to the basement of the Community Center. Staff arrive to receive meal donations just before 8pm, unless special arrangements are made. Thank you!
