Story
While Monica is recovering from her recent hospital stay, her family would love support from her friends to help Monica maintain her independent lifestyle. We thought the meal train would be a good way to ensure that somebody is checking on her every day and at the same time, space out visitors, so she's not overwhelmed. Last Monday it was thought that she had suffered a stroke. While that has now been ruled out, something definitely and acutely affected her cognitive ability for a period of time. She was unable to speak coherently enough to request help or even tell us where she was when help was needed. This seems to have mostly cleared up, but while we work with the doctors to figure out what caused this and what can be done to prevent it from happening again, it would be great to have some extra hands and eyes checking in with her on a regular basis. Any time or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Special Notes
The doctors have recommended a low sodium heart, healthy diet to help keep her blood pressure down. She does not seem particularly happy about this new diet 🙄
