Jon has been having a variety of health issues over the last several months, resulting in multiple hospital visits. The most recent one was a two week stay at Mayo where they attempted to get his blood pressure under control after it drops dangerously whenever he sits or stands. The doctors are trying to manage different medications to also help with his heart disease as well as chronic back pain. His recovery has been a bit of a roller coaster; each time something gets better it seems that something else fails him, which is quite frustrating. He would love visitors. You can also call him, but his hearing issues make telephone calls difficult. It's been a big transition for Anna and Liz, as they work to figure out how to help care for him, spend time with him, and also continue with their work. Anna is still based in Turkey but will be spending more time in Arizona.
