It is with a sad heart to share that Dawn Schalow, wife of Coach Schalow, suffered a stroke over winter break. Dawn would typically go between living at their lake house near Mosinee (closer to their children/ grandchildren) and their apartment in Kaukauna. Since Dawn’s stroke she needs 24/7 care and has moved back full time to Kaukauna. Coach has decided to use FMLA from teaching at school until March to be with Dawn at her appointments and to care for her during this time. However, he and his family have decided that he WILL continue coaching. With this decision comes some minor challenges as most of their family and friends are not in the Kaukauna area. Dawn struggles with her speech, and they are looking to get her started with speech therapy as soon as possible. While Dawn and the family is needing some extra love, support and care we wanted to reduce the stress of meals.
