Giving for Dawn Gray

Myrtle Point, OR

Story

In December 2023 our loving friend, Dawn Hood Gray, was diagnosed with breast cancer after undergoing an annual screening mammogram. In March 2024, Dawn underwent a successful double mastectomy surgery and of course was surrounded by the most amazing support system from her husband and daughters. Although the surgery was successful, unfortunately Dawn will still have to undergo chemotherapy in Portland to ensure the cancer is fully fought. Since the diagnosis, it has been a long road for Dawn and her family as they navigate this current chapter. One thing that has been absolutely unwavering is her continuous faith for God and the courage that He provides. Through the ups and downs of surgery, recovery, and now chemotherapy, Dawn remained steadfast in her trust in God's plan for her life. Even when faced with setbacks and challenges, she held onto the belief that God had a purpose for her, and that she would emerge from this trial stronger and more resilient than ever before. Today, as Dawn continues her journey towards healing, her faith remains as strong as ever. She is a living testament to the power of belief and the strength that comes from relying on God in times of adversity. Her story serves as a beacon of hope for anyone facing their own battles, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, we are never truly alone. If you or your family have ever had the opportunity to know and love Dawn Gray, then what a blessing you have been given. Every chance that Dawn has to spread her love throughout her community and every life in it, you bet she will be there carrying a pot of something delicious asking "where can I help?". It is in these times that we have the chance to spread love and grace in her life. If you do have the ability to contribute a home cooked meal or a gift to cover medical expenses and hotel stays for their trips to Portland, everything will surely be well appreciated by Dawn and her family. Please keep in mind, monetary or subsequent gifts are not necessary as Dawn would greatly appreciate prayers as well. Please join me in keeping Dawn in your thoughts and prayers as she continues on her path to recovery. And may her story inspire us all to trust in the power of faith, even in the face of life's greatest challenges.
