Friends.. Our friend, Wade Stokes, who worked at Wake Forest from 1998 to 2021 is currently in a hospital in Washington, DC. After initial scans were completed, several lesions were found on his brain, liver and kidneys. This was quite unexpected and as you can imagine, the family is in shock and devastated. He is currently with his wife, Tara, and his three kids (Anna, Carrie and Brad) and their respective children. We would like to set up a way for friends of Wade to support him and his family during this time as they are dealing with decisions about treatment and next steps. At this time, given their circumstances, we would like to set up a way for people to purchase electronic gift cards for online food places (DoorDash is preferred!). As we learn more, we will share. They also may be future ways in which we can support them and I'll share those with you as they become available. Take care of each other.
