SUNSET ON DISPLAY

Radiant waves of color ebb and flow from fiber artist Mariya Oster's stunningly serene Ocean Sunset Tapestry. She begins each piece by hand-dying wool yarn in shades ranging from cool blue to fiery red. Strand by strand, the yarn is then hung on hand-carved manzanita wood until the image slowly takes shape. The result is a uniquely oceanic artwork awash in mesmerizing color and texture. Each is an original work of art; no two are alike. Handmade in Illinois.
